Meanwhile, under the sea, SpongeBob finds a book about how to party. He decided to have his own party and invited a lot of people. Patrick was the first to arrive, at 8 pm to be exact, followed by Mr. Krabs, Squidward, and many of SpongeBob's other friends. The party was so packed that it was time to converse with other people. When SpongeBob goes out for a while, he's locked out of his house, while the rest of the party is partying as they please. The police come and arrest SpngeBob for throwing a party without inviting them. The next morning, SpongeBob comes home and finds his house a mess. However, Patrick tells him that everyone is having fun at SpongeBob's party. This is enough to make SpongeBob happy too. SpongeBob goes out to help, but he is torn apart by a gorilla. One part of SpongeBob asks, "What's a gorilla in the water for?". The gorilla came to his senses and fled with "Goerge the Zebra". A family watching the episode was confused and turned off their TV. While picking up trash, SpongeBob sees a garbage collector and reports him to be arrested by the police. Squidward tells SpongeBob that the person is a "Tattle-tale Strangler", a criminal who will strangle anyone who reports him. Not long after being handcuffed by the police, Stranger immediately released and fled. SpongeBob looks for the bodyguards, but everyone is terrified when they see the poster, except for the disguised Tattle-tale Strangler. He tries to strangle SpongeBob as soon as he becomes a bodyguard, but the people on the bus see him. Next, he tries to take SpongeBob to SpongeBob's house so he can strangle SpongeBob without anyone knowing, but first they have to go shopping.

Next he tries to strangle SpongeBob as soon as he gets to SpongeBob's house, but SpongeBob's friends come for a 100% punctuality celebration party (seen at the beginning of the episode) and a birthday. Strangler is grateful that he is no longer with SpongeBob, but that Patrick becomes his cellmate. SpongeBob and Patrick go to the "Palace of Pranks", a prank goods store. They buy "Invisible Spray", a spray that can make things invisible. They initially wanted to spray it on the chairs to make them sit as if they were floating, but they fought over the Invisible Spray so that their bodies and the pants they had taken off were not visible. Since only their voices could be heard by others, people thought they were ghosts. SpongeBob and Patrick start to find out and scare the residents of Bikini Bottom as the "Ghosts of Bikini Bottom". The last thing they were afraid of was Mr. Krabs who claimed not to be afraid of ghosts because he was wearing "anti-ghost" equipment.

However, when SpongeBob and Patrick come to him at night at the Krusty Krab, he is scared and can't run away. SpongeBob and Patrick then try to burn Mr. Krabs' money, but Mr. Krabs waters them so they are seen again. Mr. Krabs then shows the two of them to the dreaded "Bikini Bottom Ghost", embarrassing SpongeBob and Patrick. Squidward becomes the manager of the Krusty Krab 2, this makes SpongeBob sad. Plankton steals Neptune's crown. King Neptune froze Mr. Krabs until SpongeBob and Patrick return with their crowns.
