Ayu is a big fan of anime and manga and tries to watch and read as many series as possible. Because we have an abundant supply of handsome manga/anime characters, coming up with this article became quite exhausting. From the viewers' point of view, anyone would qualify as good-looking but I also considered the universe from which my picks came. Meaning they must look like a real bishounen both from our perspective and the from the eyes of the characters of the series from which they were selected. Ah, this was a lot of work! But without further delay, I give you my list of the most handsome anime/manga characters ever! My 18th most handsome guy is one of the strongest from Soul Society, captain of the 6th division and the current head of the Kuchiki Clan - Kuchiki Byakuya. He's got it all - fame, power, and of course, looks that could kill. Byakuya is usually cool and calm, and sometimes arrogant, but we don't mind. On the 17th spot is the most handsome two-faced gentleman I've ever seen, Azuma Yunoki. Yunoki is a talented third year high school student majoring in flute at the Seiso Academy.
Manga: Shouldn't be That Troublesome As You Assume
He learned the piano first but after showing astounding progress and talent, he was forced to play the flute instead so as not to outshine his elder brothers. Of course, he is popular with the girls, but only Kahoko knows of his "dark" personality he wouldn't show to other people. On-spot no. 16 is Ao Haru Ride's main male protagonist, Mabuchi Kou. He was initially gentle and sweet and cute during their middle school years but after his sudden disappearance he became cold, rude and sarcastic, but oh well more manly. Of course we were really annoyed by how he was treating Futaba then (after they met each other again in highschool) but I guess you can also consider it one of his charms - a caring, handsome tsundere always gets us! Satsuki Shishio (from the manga Hirunaka no Ryuusei) is the most handsome high school teacher, ever. He is a true gentleman, he dresses well and he is so damn good-looking. I'd rather say that he is a responsible adult, which led to how things ended just like that. Chunchun is his first love yes, but I AM HIS TRUE LOVE. Kimi ni Todoke's Kazehaya Shouta is probably one of the most handsome and refreshing high school student I've seen. Being both good-looking and sociable, he attracts both girls and boys, with him at the center of attention all the time.
Most interesting about Kazehaya is his selfishness, one which he admitted to both Sawako and Ryu, which is only mostly applicable to Sawako as Kazehaya easily gets jealous and wants to keep Sawako for himself. Grabbing 13th place is the smart, talented and of course handsome president of the Mizusawa Karuta Club, Mashima Taichi of Chihayafuru. I was originally for Arata, but man, every single soul would come to love Taichi's good looks, patience, dedication and most importantly his unequaled love and concern for Chihaya. From all the anime/manga I've seen and read, I believe he is the best male character forever and ever. Kuranosuke Koibuchi. And yes, Kurako is a crossdresser. Number 12 on this list is Kuragehime's Kuranosuke Koibuchi, the good-looking guy from a political family who is interested in beauty and fashion. He is appealing to both men and women whether he cross-dresses or not. He is usually confident in whatever he does and is the kind of person who doesn't care what people would think or speak of him. He looks best when he ties his hair up (when dressed as a boy)! Takumi Usui is smart, talented and one of the most handsome guys in the Maid-sama universe. He is very popular among the girls, not just those from his high school. He looks cold and nonchalant (much to our delight) but is actually sweet and caring especially when Misaki is concerned.
Ouran High's Tamaki Suoh can very well be Takumi Usui's brother. They almost look alike, with that blonde hair and good looks, with very similar circumstances as well. Like almost everybody on this list, his beauty is on a whole new level, he is cheerful and amiable as well and is liked by everyone. He can be stubborn and nave (although we don't mind) but only because he always thinks of his friends first before himself. Sata Kyouya was supposed to be my boyfriend, but I had the kind heart to let him go because Erika seems to need him more. Kyouya is like the school's prince because of his looks and everybody thought he was a gentleman, but he is actually the most beautiful jerk on this list. He is genuinely a short-tempered sadist who enjoys ordering Erika around, which was quite annoying in the beginning. Later on, he leveled up and just became an insensitive but caring tsundere boyfriend. Well, we can handle that. Miyamura Izumi is one of the main characters in the manga Hori-san to Miyamura-kun or Horimiya.
He is quite attractive (Hori even notes how long his eyelashes are) but is not observed by a lot of people as he maintains a low profile in school as he was used to being alone (and in order to hide his piercings and heavily-tattooed bodies). When he dresses normally, however, not only Hori is charmed by his looks. He is the sweetest every time he makes a move on Hori! On top 7 is Sukitte Ii na yo's lead guy, Kurosawa Yamato. He is totally handsome and the most popular boy in school. He is a nice and caring guy but he was originally a flirt and a flirt still he was, and I came to dislike him after all those night visits to Megumi's place (yes, even after May has already forgiven him). He has his own share of issues as well, like everybody else, but oh well he truly cares for Mei and he is really, truly attractive, you just got to give this spot to him. We gotta thank the god of anime for creating a wonderful character in the person of Jinguji Ren from Uta no Prince-sama. He is the epitome of manliness, sexiness and perfection, and is more than worthy of placing 6th on this bishounen list. Ren is sociable and carefree and is sometimes proud, and the man flirts a lot. Who cares though, his mere existence is already a blessing for us all!
