Who Is 8th Hokage

Who should be the next 2 Hokage after Naruto Uzumaki in the Boruto series? Since the very beginning of his story, Naruto's goal was to attain the prestigious title of Hokage within his village. After years of lonliness and rejection, Naruto finally managed to change attitudes by battling to victory against Pain, but it was only at the end of Naruto: Shippuuden that he became the official leader of the Hidden Leaf, taking over from former sensei, Kakashi Hatake, and following in the footsteps of his father, the Fourth Hokage. Even then, Naruto still managed to miss his inauguration after being knocked out by his own daughter. The Boruto sequel series offers more insight into Naruto's reign as the village Hokage, even if a lot of that mostly involves sending shadow clones to juggle daily tasks and spend time with his family. It's logical to assume that when Naruto's time as Hokage finally comes to an end, it would be his son that takes over that mantle. After all, the current series is named after Boruto - surely he'd grow to be the new big shot of Konoha?

The most likely option to become the Eighth Hokage would be Konohamaru Sarutobi.

Furthermore, Boruto is a more naturally gifted ninja compared to his father, and boasts the heritage of two former generations of Hokage. Given Naruto's popularity, many of the villagers would expect this tradition to continue, all of which makes Boruto the odds-on favorite to take over his father's job. However, Boruto has no interest in becoming Hokage, resenting his workaholic father who rarely has time for his family. Boruto has stated that he'd rather take a back seat and support the Hokage from behind the scenes, similar to his idol, Sasuke Uchiha. This leaves the future of the Hokage position open, but who could be the next in line? The most likely option to become the Eighth Hokage would be Konohamaru Sarutobi. Like Boruto, Konohamaru is a ninja with Hokage blood in his veins, thanks to his grandfather, the Third. Although Konohamaru and Naruto's friendship began as a comedic rivalry, the pair bonded over their similar ideals and both aspired to one day reach the top. Naruto eventually took Konohamaru on as his first student, and this is vital, since most previous Hokage trained under another - the Fifth learned from the Third, the Sixth from the Fourth, etc. With the right biological heritage and the Seventh as his sensei, Konohamaru is a clear choice to take over from Naruto, especially since he's also clearly the strongest of his generation.

39; strength, and is the most diligent and hard-working character in the series.

While Konohamaru should be the Eighth Hokage, another Boruto character is already showing the necessary qualifications to become the Ninth - Sarada Uchiha. Unlike Boruto, Sarada does aspire to take over as Hokage, fitting perfectly alongside Boruto's goal of playing a supporting role. Sarada has already proved she's more than capable in a fight, inheriting her parents' strength, and is the most diligent and hard-working character in the series. Sarada becoming Hokage would also represent a very important landmark for the Uchiha. A member of the Uchiha leading Konoha was unheard of during the village's early years, and this distrust gave rise to war and conflict. Even when Naruto came to power, villagers remained skeptical of the clan due to Sasuke's past misdemeanors, so Sarada earning the Hokage job would finally bring both the long-standing Uchiha prejudice and the (more understandable) ill feeling towards Sasuke to a close. Unfortunately, it's possible that Naruto will be the very last Hokage in the line. At the start of the Boruto story, Konoha village is in ruins and Boruto is in the midst of a deadly battle with Kawaki, the circumstances and outcome of which remain unknown. Despite Konoha's grim future, the Hidden Leaf has been rebuilt before, meaning Boruto's flashforward doesn't necessarily mean there won't be another Hokage. It's unclear how long Boruto will run for, and there might even be a sequel to the sequel after Masashi Kishimoto's new manga, Samurai 8, was cancelled. If Boruto does continue for years to come, at least there will be two worthy Hokage successors waiting in the wings.
