What Does Rindo Mean

Homunculus (manga)The flower near Rei's windowsill is a Rindou or a Autumn bell flower in English. The Rindou carries abundant meanings in Japanese. I'm here to talk about what these characters significance that corresponds with the flower mean. I'm going to elaborate about it in this post. Someone had already pointed out Dabi's keen resemblance to the flower. The "Rindou" is loosely translated from kanji being "dragon's innards or dragon's courage" alternatively the Chinese production of the kanji is called "Ryuutan". In ancient times the rindou was called Eyamigusa (or plague weed or fever weed) this bears resemblance to dabis kanji in his name containing the kanji "荼,weed" people noted that Dabi looked a serpent when he first debuted. The flower blooms around September and November. Rindou comes in colors such as purple, pink white and blue. The color blue signifies dabi's flames, a flame quirk resembles a fire breathing dragon. The origin of the name comes from the root of the flower used for making herbal medicine and is extremely bitter like bile. Those bitter roots are commonly used in traditional Chinese herb medicine for helping with stomach health, easing inflammation and induce calm. Dabi's character is accuracy, victory, sincere and full confidence. Dabi follows Stain's ideology he has his own sets morals and ethics he makes sure they are true he has a creed that he's willing to carry out whatever the cost. This is shown when he doubted if the league of villains really followed a just cause after Himiko's introduction. Dabi wants to rid the system of corrupt heroes in the state of correcting the hero system for the sake of a brighter future.

39;s sunny and warm.

No plastic He has principles that's he's willing to see them through by using the ends justify the means as a way of being right and just. Dabi doesn't view the league of villains to have any principles whatsoever after he joined. Dabi is much more serious and focused in contrast to the rest of the members of the league of villains. This is shown to have the point of trying to be correct not on the system but others like heroes, villains and people this is having accuracy which matches his character too well. The color purple the rindous has means "full confidence." The reason why its called this refers to the flower blooming straight towards the sun making it seem like its confident. The flower doesn't bloom when its cloudy, at night or rain but only if it's sunny and warm. The meaning full confidence attached doesn't sound like Dabi, but it does fit. Dabi knows his own abilities he knows how weak he is when he compared the dabi clone to himself when he fought with Aizawa. Dabi was going to kill Endeavor and Hawks because he knew that they are weakened after the high end battle so they can't fight back.

Dabi's confident in terms of his abilities. The meaning reminds me of the short instances where Dabi participated in the league of villains plans carries the minor triumphs attached. In the forest training camp Dabi's confident posture foreshadowings the league of villains success from the mission. Dabis is seen in the center standing upright like he's certain of the outcome and looks pretty confident. After the league of villains plumaged overhaul Dabi is seen alongside them stretching. These in short instances when Dabi participates, we see instances of victory for the league of villains. Sincerity plays into Dabi subtlety in the manga. You might think Dabi would lie because he didn't say anything about his true motives or his name but Dabi's more honest than what you would give him credit for we never seen him lie. During the introduction, Dabi says he will say his name when he needs too he is clear about what his goals are. Even though he comes out sounding sarcastic and mocking to other people as well as rude he's much more honest than he looks even he doesn't say anything about himself we know what his goals are in the introduction. He's practical with himself and his capabilities and doesn't hesitate to voice them.

When taunting Vlad he doesn't have any reason to lie about their motives because they won anyways this is what he anticipated for Vlad even he said so. These are not qualities you'd expect a villian to have, but i never really seen Dabi lie once he hesitate to voice his feelings and his actions in this aspect. I never seen him lie that one thing to note about him. Now time for the missing sibling Touya Todoroki who was implied by Natsuo and name revealed in a few chapters. I am going to explain the meanings that half to do with Touya with the flower. I explained in the Dabi's section that accuracy is the state of being correct. 's used for the kanji in Touya's name "矢" being "arrow" notes a projectile to hit its targets arrows are noted for the accuracy like the kanji in Touya's name. Its attracted to sunlight as it opens up when it receives sunlight closes at night, rain and cloudy weather. The sunlight is reference to part of Touya's kanji "燈", "tou" meaning "lamp light" which matches his name. It's a herbal medicine that promotes stomach health the root of the flower is really bitter. The flower's kanji translates to "dragons innards" which located in the internal organs of the body the constitution. This meaning refers to Touya's body incompatible with his quirk a powerful flame quirk but a body made for ice his constitution.

The flower put in place of him shows he not with his family.

Touya's health problems and frailty shown in the picture of his height when compared to the rest of his siblings. The expression of the flower language "grieving your love" has this sad origin is because the flower grows separately without clumping with other flowers, it grows independently without grouping with other flower it grows alone. The "grieving for your love" expression was called this because its violet color making seem sorrowful. Touya never grew alongside with the rest of his siblings together after what happened to him, he grew separately not with his family. The flower put in place of him shows he not with his family. "sadness of one that doesn't gather". He not seen with the rest of his family notes his absence in the story. The color purple of the rindou symbolizes royalty, the part about royalty reminded me of Touya being born in a famous super hero household which is really famous to the public. One such meaning that in english in the flower language in the rindou is intrinsic worth definition of it is this. 1. a value or attribute that a person has that is internal which is part of their make up or being which is something that can be taken away.

Touya's ice body. Touya has an ice body but with the wrong quirk and the accident that happened with him. Looking at a deeper meaning of what intrinsic worth means: it's when we value something for its own sake not for not its instrumental worth but value it as in and in it as itself like for example friendship, family, love, wisdom, pleasure and beauty or health. Something that is really valuable and loving someone as it in itself. This hints that Touya was deeply loved for himself by his family for who he is. Last but not least Rei. What does this flower half to do with Rei in particular? The meanings are "I love you who are sad", "lonely affection", "grieving for your love". As I talked about the this meaning "grieving for your love" with touya. I read this it makes me think it means of grieving for a loved one and grieving for someone you love I believed it meant grieving for someone who isn't there with you. When I read it this way this make me think how much Rei's really thinking about and cares about Touya. "love you sadly" and "i love you but i am sad" the flower was put in place of Touya shows deep down how much Rei misses Touya. I read the definition of intrinsic worth and explained it. It meant something that is important, describing something that's important or better yet has intrinsic worth. The definition makes me think how much Rei loved Touya as himself. She loves Touya not for his worth for what he is loving Touya for who he is. Rei loved him unconditionally for who he really is. 's gone. The flower put there symbolizes the feelings Rei has towards him. Wow that was a lot. It took a while to explain but whew I'm done.
