Is Midoriya's Dad A Villain

Epic Dope is the new home of streaming news, views and reviews. No Comments on Where Is Izuku Midoriya's Father? Reading My Hero Academia, the one thing that stood out to me the most is the glaring absence of Izuku's father. It's a pretty common troupe for a shonen protagonist to be missing either one or both parental figures since this allows the protagonist more freedom. After all, what parent would let their kid risk their life or go on crazy adventures? Having a supposedly dead or missing parent also makes for good character growth and a grand reveal at some point. In the case of My Hero Academia, the absence of Izuku's father let All Might fill the spot of the father figure in his life. I can't deny it's one of my favorite dynamics of the show other than Eri and Aizawa. We haven't seen Izuku's father mentioned a single time since the first chapter of the manga except for a tiny detail slipped into Inko's profile in the extras.

39;s quirk lets him breathe fire.

What plans might Hirokoshi have for Izuku's father? 1. Who Is Deku's Father? Izuku's father's name is Hisashi Midoriya. Hisashi currently works abroad. Since Inko and Izuku visited the doctor alone when Izuku was four, we can assume Hisashi left them when Izuku was very young. Inko still refers to him as her husband, hinting that they are still together and not divorced. I. What Is Deku's Father's Quirk? When Izuku and his mother visited the quirk doctor in Chapter 1, Inko mentioned that Hisashi's quirk lets him breathe fire. Not much is known about how strong his quirk is or what it is called, for that matter. Hisashi's quirk has spawned several theories that Izuku's father could be Endeavor or even his son Dabi since they both have a fire-based quirk. However, neither of them fit in with the information we know about Hisashi. Dabi is too young, and Endeavor has never hinted at having any connection with Inko or Izuku. II. What Does Hisashi Midoriya Look Like? Izuku has curly, teal green hair, while his mother, Inko, has straight and darker forest green hair.

39;s father took up a work post abroad when Izuku was very young.

We can assume that Hisashi has curly hair, which could either be bright teal green like the ends of Izuku's hair or darker, almost black like the roots. Izuku's curly hair casts a shadow on his hair which makes the roots look darker. Hisashi tends to have dark, almost black hair. It'll be interesting to see Hirokoshi's official character design. 2. Is He Dead? Horikoshi hinted that Hisashi would make an appearance way back in 2018 at the San Diego Comic-Con Festival. Hence, we can assume he is alive despite his absenteeism. All we currently know that he works abroad, leaving Inko to raise Izuku as a single mother. However, he does possibly support Inko and Izuku since we've never seen Inko working. 3. Is He A Villain? Izuku's father took up a work post abroad when Izuku was very young. He is likely just a regular salaryman- though he could be revealed as a villain as a plot device. I. Could All For One Be Deku's Father?

Many fans share the opinion that All For One could be Izuku's father, and he only used a fire-breathing quirk while he was with Inko. However, his motives for having a child with Inko are unclear since Inko's quirk isn't very impressive. Fans have noted the parallels between Star Wars and My Hero Academia, between Darth Vader and All for One, and how Izuku would be going up against his own father like Luke Skywalker did if All For One were really Izuku's father. It would also create an interesting parallel if All For One's own son were trained and fostered by All Might- a successor of One For All, while All For One fostered Tenko Shimura, the grandson of another previous successor of OFA. 4. When Will Deku's Dad Be Revealed? Izuku's father has never been mentioned, even at crucial moments in the manga. Izuku never thought of contacting his father when he got his Provisional Hero License, nor was Hisashi ever mentioned the times Izuku has been on the verge of death or gravely injured.

Considering the manga is currently in the 'Final Act,' and the final showdown with All For One looms over the horizon, Izuku's father could be revealed in the near future. It would be interesting to see Deku interact with his estranged father after so many years and their dynamics. Even though he's been missing from Izuku's life for the most part, surely Hisashi would try contacting his family amidst the current chaos in Japan and the breakdown of the hero society. My Hero Academia is a Japanese superhero manga series written and illustrated by Kōhei Horikoshi. It follows a quirkless boy Izuku Midoriya and how he backed the greatest Hero alive. Midoriya, a boy who has been admiring heroes and their ventures since the day he was born, came into this world without a quirk. On one fateful day, he meets All Might the greatest Hero of all time and discovers that he was quirkless as well. With his diligent attitude and unwavering spirit about being a hero, Midoriya manages to impress All Might. He is chosen to be the heir to the power of One for All.
